Chuck is director of the Project on Opportunity and Taxation, advocating for expanding social mobility and opportunity and reducing inequality through robust estate and inheritance taxation.
Chuck is co-founder and chair of Divest-Invest Individual, a movement of individual investors divesting from oil, gas, and coal and investing in the emerging new energy economy.
Wealth for the Common Good Chuck is Co-founder of Wealth for the Common Good, a network of business leaders, high-income individuals and partners working together to promote shared prosperity and fair taxation. We are “the 1 percent” that wants an economy that works for everyone. Together with the Agenda Project, they cofounded the Patriotic Millionaires.
Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition
Chuck is co-founder of Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition, a neighborhood effort to create a local economy that works for everyone in harmony with the planet. Given the challenges of a hurting economy, climate change, and more, we are co-creating a shared future vision for an equitable and sustainable JP to ensure that we all live well in the “new economy.”
Jamaica Plain Forum
Chuck founded and chairs the Jamaica Plain Forum, a local film, lecture and conversation series, cosponsored with First Church Unitarian Universalist of Jamaica Plain [www.firstchurchjp.org] and the Institute for Policy Studies.
Chuck is board member of Class Action, a national organization working to end classism and explore the interaction between social class and other identities. He is co-editor of the anthology, Class Lives: Stories from Across Our Economic Divide.
